Pictured above Mr. Eric Larson, manager of
Marsh Botanical Garden at Yale University.
Recently Mr. Larson gave a tour of the
botanical garden to members of The Spring Glen Garden Club. This oasis of green in the middle of New
Haven was a treat to the eyes and noses. There were many rare and exotic plants
some in bloom, creating the lovely fragrances. Mr. Larson was very informed
about the various plants in the collection.
The mission of the botanical garden is to
provide support for research, provide support for instruction, and engage in
outreach and preservation of green space.
There is even a small Zen Garden for quiet
contemplation, with a waterfall and Koi pond.
Take time to visit and enjoy this treasure
right in town. Marsh Botanical Garden at
Yale University is located at 227 Mansfield Street, open Monday thru Friday
9-4. 203.432.6320.
