The next
meeting of The Spring Glen Garden Club will be Monday May 11, 2026, at Lockwood
Cottage 890 Evergreen Ave. After
luncheon beginning at 11:30 am (bring a sandwich, dessert and beverage will be
served) and a short business meeting the speaker will begin at 1pm. The speaker will be Pat Sabosik and her
subject will be “Pollinators”. Donation $5
Pat is an
advanced master gardener, maintaining current certification since 2017. In her master gardener role, she manages a
pollinator garden at the Hill-Stead Museum, a research and educational garden,
and teaches new master gardeners about native plants and the insects who depend
on them.
Pat is the
owner of Silver Spade Garden Design, a small design and consulting business.
To
complement the perennial garden at Hill-Stead, Pat’s own garden is a shady
woodland garden with a mix of native and non-native plants and a refuge for
birds and small animals.
Pat’s
garden, participates in the Garden Conservancy Open Days program.
