The Spring Glen Garden Club a fixture in the Community since 1925, is a chartered member of The Federated Garden Clubs on Connecticut, Inc. and National Garden Clubs, Inc. since 1929.

    The Spring Glen Garden Club will be holding its Nov. meeting Monday, November 19, 2018 at The Government Center.  The Government Center is Located at 2750 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, CT.

     Please note change of location for meeting.

     The meeting will begin at 11:45 am, with a social hour, bring lunch, dessert and beverage will be served.  After a brief business meeting the speaker will begin at 1pm.  The speaker will be Maria Lipski; her subject will be “Creative Containers”

  The Spring Glen Garden Club will be holding its Oct. meeting Monday, October 15, 2018 at Lockwood Cottage.  Lockwood Cottage is located at 890 Evergreen Ave. Hamden, CT.

     The meeting will begin at 11:45 am, with a social hour, bring lunch, dessert and beverage will be served.  After a brief business meeting the speaker will begin at 1pm.  The speaker will be Sally Brockett; her subject will be “Hummingbirds Jeweled Acrobats in the Garden”

     The Spring Glen Garden Club will be holding its first meeting of the season on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Lockwood Cottage.  Lockwood Cottage is located at 890 Evergreen Ave. Hamden, CT.

     The meeting will begin at 11:45 am, with a social hour, bring lunch, dessert and beverage will be served.  After a brief business meeting the speaker will begin at 1pm.  The speaker will be Dr. Yonghao Li; his subject will be “Pruning 101”

     The Spring Glen Garden Club will again be participating in the Hamden Earth Day Celebration.  Please join us at our table; we will have giveaways including miniature greenhouses, magnets and bookmarks.  Earth Day Celebration will be from 10 am till 3 pm, Sat. April 21, 2018, at the Hamden Middle School.

      The Spring Glen Garden Club is looking for new members, who are not only interested in horticultural pursuits but civic beautification and preservation of our natural resources.  There are no residency requirements to belong, our members are as local as Hamden, North Haven, Branford, or as far flung as Goshen. 

         The Spring Glen Garden Club will be holding the March meeting jointly with The Woodbridge Garden Club on Monday March 12, 2018.  The meeting will begin at 11:45 am with light refreshments. Speaker at 1 pm will be Margery Winters whose subject will be “Changing Land, Changing Wildlife”. The meeting will be held at Mount Carmel Congregational Church, 3284 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
